Ashley Arana is a program analyst for the Public Understanding portfolio in the Education program.
Arana was previously the alumni relations engagement and data manager for Bank Street College of Education, where she was responsible for managing the alumni outreach and engagement, creating marketing materials and newsletters, and co-managing the school’s fundraising events, which included event planning, volunteer management, budgeting, communications, and donor research.
Prior to working at Bank Street, Arana was a public schools analyst intern for the Department of Sanitation, Bureau of Recycling and Sanitation, where she assisted in the selection of schools to launch pilot programs around sanitation, composting, and recycling. She also served as a schools marketing intern for the Partnership for Inner-City Education where she implemented a marketing campaign to grow community relationships and to retain and increase enrollment for two Catholic schools in the Bronx and Harlem.
Arana received her bachelor's degree in urban studies and environmental science from Barnard College of Columbia University and has a certification in HTML/CSS coding.
